That's right, mouth to snout.
Staff at the Denver Zoo have saved the life of a Malayan tapir calf after the mother endured an especially difficult delivery.

DENVER, CO (Catholic Online) - Rinny, the female tapir needed help giving birth to the calf. Once born, the calf was having trouble freeing itself from the amniotic sac and breathing. That's when zoo staff came to the rescue.

Staff removed the calf from the sac and began mouth-to-snout resuscitation.

The baby tapir survived and is now walking and swimming just fine. Zoo officials named him Dumandi, and he is the first tapir calf born at the zoo.

There are less than 2,000 Malayan tapirs left in the wild.
